An introduction starts when you accept an opportunity, or when a lot you opened closes with a winner. The buyer is revealed to you and you to the buyer. You contact the buyer, and the two companies contract and pay each other directly. An introduction is the same record either way: the same reference, the same page, the same fee terms. See Selling by auction. You pay GPU Outlet a success fee of 1% of each amount you actually receive from this buyer. The success fee applies to contracts signed within 24 months of the reveal. See Success fee. To accept an opportunity, see Opportunities.

Find your introductions

Your introductions are on the Protected tab of /app/opportunities, under Opportunities on the Sell menu. Each opens at /app/opportunities/protected/:id. The page header shows the reference, for example GO-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX, and the status. An active introduction shows Protected.

The introduction page

The buyer

At the reveal you receive, frozen as they were at that moment:
  • The buyer’s registered legal name
  • The buyer’s country
  • The email address and role of each owner and authorized signatory of the buyer company
Press an email address to write to that person. The page says “Contact them directly. The contract, the invoices and the delivery are between the two companies; the platform is not in the middle of any of it.” The buyer receives your legal name and country, not your contacts. The buyer expects you to reach out.

Introduction

Below it, The demand, as frozen at reveal shows the buyer’s request exactly as you accepted it.

Claim an existing relationship

If your company already had a relationship with this buyer before the reveal, you can claim it. If the GPU Outlet team approves the claim, no success fee is owed on this buyer. You have 2 business days from the reveal. Business days are Monday to Friday in UTC. Public holidays count as business days. The exact deadline is shown on the page.
1

Open the claim form

Under Already working with this buyer?, press Claim an existing relationship.
2

Explain the relationship

In How you already knew them, say how you knew this buyer, in at least 20 characters.
3

Attach evidence

Under Evidence, upload one file: a prior contract, an invoice or an email thread. PDF, PNG or JPEG, up to 25 MB.
4

File it

Press File the claim.
You can file one claim per introduction. The GPU Outlet team reviews it and decides. The team’s reason is shown under Decision once the claim is decided. If the deadline passes with no claim, the page says the introduction stands. You can no longer file one.
Filing a claim needs an owner, authorized signatory or trader. It does not ask for your second factor.

Ready to proceed?

Once you and the buyer have spoken and agreed to go ahead, each side confirms here. The section shows You and The buyer, each as Not yet or Ready since a date. When both have confirmed, it shows Both sides ready.
  • Press We are ready to confirm for your company.
  • Each side confirms once. It cannot be undone.
  • “Confirming is a fact, not a contract.”
  • The buyer is notified. When the buyer confirms first, you get “The other side is ready to proceed”.
Readiness and invoices are available only while the introduction is Protected.

Send an invoice

Until both sides are ready, the Invoices section says “Invoices can be sent once both sides have confirmed they are ready.” After that, press Send an invoice. As you type the amount, the form shows the success fee that would be due on it. Press Send the invoice. The buyer is notified with “An invoice is ready to pay”. GPU Outlet also gives the invoice its own reference, DIN-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX, used in the Timeline.
  • An invoice cannot be edited once sent.
  • To correct one, send a new invoice. It replaces the current unpaid one, which shows Replaced.
  • To cancel one, press Withdraw, give a reason, then press Confirm withdrawal. The buyer sees the reason. You can withdraw an invoice that is Ready to pay or Paid.

When the buyer pays

The buyer pays you directly and presses Mark as paid, optionally with a payment reference. You get “The buyer says an invoice is paid”, and the invoice shows Paid with the buyer’s reference. Check that the money has actually reached you. Then press Money received.
Press Money received only when the money is in your account. It confirms the payment to the buyer and issues your success fee invoice. It cannot be undone.
When you press it:
  • The invoice shows Received.
  • The buyer gets “The seller confirmed your payment”.
  • GPU Outlet issues a success fee invoice for 1% of the invoice amount, and you get “A success fee invoice was issued”. It is due 5 business days after you confirm Money received. See Success fee.
For what each invoice status means, see Statuses.

Timeline

The Timeline lists everything that happened on the introduction, newest first. Each entry shows the time and who acted: Seller, Buyer, GPU Outlet or Automatic. Press Earlier to see more. It records the reveal, a relationship claim and its decision, and each side confirming it is ready. It records each invoice being sent, marked paid, confirmed received or withdrawn. It also records your success fee invoices as they are issued and paid, and actions the GPU Outlet team takes. The buyer sees the same timeline, including your success fee invoice events.
