# Regions

> Where the GPUs physically live, and how location is chosen.

Every listing on the marketplace carries the region its seller's machine sits
in, so you always know where a GPU physically lives before you launch.

## How regions work

Regions aren't a fixed list we maintain — they come from what's **listed on the
marketplace**, so the set shifts as sellers list and de-list. Every listing is
tagged with:

* a **region** (the seller's location for that machine), and
* a coarse **geo bucket** — `us`, `eu`, `asia`, or `other` — used for grouping
  and display.

When you pick a GPU, the marketplace surfaces the **cheapest matching listing**
and shows you its region. You're never silently relocated — what you see on the
listing is where the machine runs.

## How region affects price and availability

The same GPU can price differently by location because supply isn't evenly
distributed. US and EU capacity is usually the deepest and cheapest; the newest
accelerators are scarce everywhere. The live
[marketplace](https://gpuoutlet.ai/app/create) always shows the real current
price and location for each listing.

## Data residency

Your work runs wherever the listing you pick is located. Note that GPU Outlet
itself (the marketplace, your session, and the billing ledger) operates from a
single region, independent of where the machines you rent run.
