# Limits

> Time windows, field lengths, upload sizes and rate limits that apply to your GPU Outlet account, company and API keys.

These are the limits you can run into while using GPU Outlet. Business days are Monday to Friday in UTC. Public holidays count as business days.

## Sign-in and security

| Sign-in code | 6 digits, valid for 10 minutes, 5 attempts, single use |
| Sign-in codes per email address | 3 per hour without waiting, then a wait of 60 seconds that doubles each time; at most 20 per hour |
| Sign-in code requests per IP address | 20 per 10 minutes |
| Session length | 30 days |
| Two-factor codes | 6 digits from an authenticator app, a new code every 30 seconds |
| Two-factor confirmation stays fresh for | 15 minutes, then you are asked again when you sign or change a legal name or country |
| Two-factor setup and confirmation attempts | 5 per 5 minutes |
| Replacing a lost authenticator | 3 attempts per 15 minutes; the emailed code is valid for 10 minutes |

## Company and team

| Corporate domain | Up to 253 characters, optional |
| Registered address | 1–500 characters |

| Invitation link | Valid for 7 days, only for the email address it was sent to |
| Owners | At least 1 per company |

## Verification and agreements

## Lots and bids

| Reserve, bid step | Optional amounts, 1 cent or more |
| Bidding window | Must be an interval, and must not have ended already |
| Uptime commitment | 0 to 100% |
| Provisioning | 1 to 8,760 hours |
| Payment schedule, conditions on who may bid | Up to 2,000 characters each |
| Amending a lot's terms | Only while no bid has been placed |
| Live bids per company per lot | 1; bidding again replaces the previous bid |
| Opening lots | 20 per minute |
| Accepting lot terms, placing bids | 30 per minute each |

## Introductions and invoices

| Reason for withdrawing a deal invoice | Up to 500 characters |
| Success fee rate | 1% of each amount received |
| Success fee invoice due | 5 business days after you confirm **Money received** |
| Payment reference when reporting a fee paid | Up to 200 characters |
| Actions on introductions | 60 per minute |

## Partner API

| Requests per key | 60 per minute and 50,000 per day; the daily count resets at 00:00 UTC |
| Write requests per key | 10 per minute; writes also count toward the per-minute limit |
| Requests before authentication | 300 per minute per IP address |
| Page size | 1–100 items, 30 by default |
| `Idempotency-Key` header | 1–255 printable ASCII characters, remembered for 24 hours |

Rate limits are approximate. Responses carry `RateLimit-Limit`, `RateLimit-Remaining` and `RateLimit-Reset` headers, and `Retry-After` when you are limited. See [Rate limits](/api/rate-limits) and [Idempotency](/api/idempotency).
