# Top up your wallet

> Stripe Checkout, saved cards, auto-topup.

GPU Outlet runs prepaid. You can't launch an instance without credit.

<Tip>
  **First-deposit bonus** — top up **\$5 or more on your first deposit and we
  add an extra \$5** to your balance, automatically. One bonus per account; it
  shows up as a **Promo bonus** line in your billing history.
</Tip>

## One-off top-up via Stripe Checkout

1. **Billing** in the dashboard
2. Pick `$10`, `$25`, `$50`, `$100`, or type a custom amount
3. Click **Add credit**
4. Complete Stripe Checkout
5. Balance updates in the top-right pill within a few seconds (webhook
   confirmation)

The first time you use Stripe, your card is saved by default. Untick **Save
card** in the Checkout form if you don't want this.

## Saved card top-up

Once a card is on file:

1. Same Billing page
2. Pick amount
3. Click **Add credit**
4. No redirect — we charge the saved card directly via Stripe
5. Balance updates immediately on success

## Auto-topup

For long-running workloads you don't want to babysit. Configure once:

1. **Billing** → scroll to **Auto-topup**
2. Toggle **On**
3. Set **When balance falls below** — e.g. `$25`
4. Set **Add** — e.g. `$100`
5. Save

When your balance drops below the threshold, we charge the saved card for
the top-up amount and credit the wallet immediately. Both the threshold and
the add amount accept **\$5–\$5,000**. If the charge fails (declined card,
expired, etc.) we email you and open an invoice for the amount — pay it from
the link to top the wallet back up.

<Tip>
  For unattended jobs at scale, pick an `Add` amount that comfortably covers
  your burn rate so the wallet refills in one charge rather than many small
  ones.
</Tip>

## Card management

**Billing → Payment method**:

* **Update card** — same Stripe SetupIntent flow, replaces the existing
  saved card
* **Remove card** — disables saved-card and auto-topup until you add a new
  one. One-off Checkout still works.

## ACH / wire

For accounts averaging over \$1,000/month, we can invoice monthly. Email
[business@gpuoutlet.ai](mailto:business@gpuoutlet.ai) with:

* Expected monthly volume
* Billing address / tax ID
* Preferred payment method (ACH, SEPA, wire)

We'll set up a separate invoicing arrangement and bypass Stripe entirely.

## Refunds back to my card

To get money back on your card, email
[help@gpuoutlet.ai](mailto:help@gpuoutlet.ai) — we'll process the Stripe refund.
The refunded amount is removed from your wallet balance and shown in your
billing history, so your balance always matches what's actually yours. If you'd
already spent some of it, the remainder becomes an invoice you can settle (by
card or from your balance). Note that Stripe processing fees aren't refundable
to us, so we'll deduct those (\~3% of the amount).
